Hyundai’s Tucson Offers Outstanding Crash Protection!

July 4, 2016

Hyundai’s popular Tucson SUV has just earned distinction as the only vehicle in the small SUV segment to receive Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s good ratings for both driver and passenger in the latest small-overlap crash-rating test.

For 2016, the Tucson received some new, advanced safety technologies including AEB with pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Backup Warning Sensors and standard rear-view camera.  These impressive features really allow Tucson to stand out in its crowded category.  In addition, advanced high-strength steel represents over 50% of the Tucson’s structure, significantly enhancing the vehicle’s crash safety.

The Tucson was specially designed with its passenger’s security in mind, offering multiple protective safety layers. The A-pillar and mirror blind spots were reduced for enhanced driver visibility. The steel uni-body has incorporated crumple zones and a high-tensile front sub-frame engineered, working together to reduce the forces that typically reach the passenger section. All of the 4 doors also features internal guard beams to protect passengers in side-impact collisions.

We are excited to offer our customers one of the safest vehicles available! Stop in to Richmond Hill Hyundai for a test drive today.
